The Snow Queen in Newbury

A glacial Snow Queen arrived in Newbury town centre on Friday as the town woke up to a covering of snow. The Queen called ‘Tink’ managed to battle her way to the town through blizzards on the M25 to bring Christmas cheer.  Tottering on stilts, with a helping hand from Events Manger, Caroline Paus, she paraded through the town in bitter temperatures

As the schools broke up for the Christmas holidays, Tink made friends with some Year 7 pupils from St Bart’s who were shopping in the Kennet Centre.  Standing over 12 feet tall she could hardly be missed by shoppers in Newbury.
